A Victorian Mahogany 40 Drawer Collectors Cabinet on Bracket Feet Circa 1890

Description

A classic victorian mahogany collectors cabinet in good condition containing a beautiful collection of exotic butterflies from all over the world. All the specimens are labelled with type and the location from which they come. There are over 300 specimens and the range of shape and colour is spectacular. All the drawers are laid out with specimens complete with detail labels.

The cabinet is mahogany and is raised on bracket feet. The drawers have small turned ebony knobs and the original working lock and key are fitted. The drawers have closely fitting glazed frame tops to protect and display the contents.

Width. 37.75 inches.

Front to back. 20 inches.

Drawers.

Width. 17 inches.

Front to back. 16.25 inches.

Overall depth. 2 inches.
