Small Victorian English Sterling Silver Heart Shaped Box - 1900

Description

Pretty as as a picture and as romantic as they come, this delightful late Victorian box in the shape of heart is beautifully decorated with repousse flowers with a central vacant cartouche to the lid.

The lid fits well and once opened reveals a lavishly gilded interior. The underside of the box is where the full English hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1900 together with the maker's initials for Henry Matthews.

The perfect pill box or a great presentation box for that special ring.

Excellent condition, measuring 2" x 1 3/4" x 1" tall.
