Description

An English fusee dropdial wall clock. A mahogany case with brass inlays and the original side carvings. A convex 12" painted dial with convex glass and cast brass bezel. An 8-day duration timepiece mechanism with shaped shoulders and detailing to the wheelwork.

John James of Egham is recorded as working 1828-1862. This example dates to circa 1840.
