Description

A 19th Century Gilt Pocket Barometer by Hicks.

The loop hanger hanging the circular rounded side casing. The case with a rotating bezel for the cursor, surrounding the dial marked for barometric pressure, and weather indication. The dial engraved 'compensated' and 'J HICKS, maker' and the number '7044'. The rear with compensating screw. Complete with Morocco leather carrying case.

Date c 1860.
