Mahogany Sofa Table C.1830.

19th century
Description

Handsome early 19th.c. mahogany two drawer sofa table c.1830. Solid mahogany top with two folding leaves and inlaid ebony stringing to the border and edge. Over two oak lined drawers with large brass knobs and ebony escutcheons. Raised on a turned column and four splayed legs, with carved reeding and original brass toe castors. The design is repeated on the rear with two dummy drawer fronts meaning this table would also work well standing in the centre of a room. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
