Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques- Here is a very charming Queen Anne country oak bureau. c1710. Wonderful rich, warm dark chocolate colour to the oak, having developed much warmth and character over the many centuries.
The fall-front opens to reveal a very charming fitted interior, with an arrangement of several pigeon hole compartments, over three drawers of varying sizes, over a concealed well with covering slide. Excellent quality tooled dark green patinated leather writing surface. Two short drawers over two long drawers, retaining the original iron locks. Lovely engraved brass handles, with split-pin backs.
Standing on bun-feet. So very charming and tactile.
The condition is excellent antique condition, having general signs of use consistent with age.
