Description

Fine oil on canvas of Village near Stirling by James Christie Prowett of Stirling. (fl 1892-1946d). Painting in fine condition with no repairs or over-painting, now contained in reproduction swept frame. This in a good example and is very typical of his work. He is noted as a good colourist and craftsman. Exhibited 10 works at RSA, 2 at RSW, 55 at Glasgow Inst of Art etc.

Size; 24" x 20" overall. Canvas size 20" x 16"
