Waltham Bond Street Full Hunter Pocket Watch, 1908

A Waltham Bond Street full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, Bond Street grade, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 17,425,999 dates it back to 1908. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover (with a couple of small indentations).

The watch itself measures just a fraction under 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company in England… Aaron Dennison had very strong links to Waltham. It is the Star model which is gold plated and was originally, “guaranteed to wear 10 years”. The case has some marking as can be seen in the photos. Originally there would have been engine turned detail to both the front and back of the case but a lot of this has worn smooth from use over the years.

The front cover has a small lens surrounded by Roman numerals filled with a dark blue enamel. The winding crown pushes in to open this front cover. Inside, there is a glass lens which is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
