Pair Georgian Silver Table Salts Alice & George Burrows 1809

Description

Nice pair of George III silver table salts by Alice & George Burrows. Boat shaped with 4 ball feet and flared gadrooned rims, both are gilded inside. They have a small engraved crest featuring an owl standing beside a tree, and the initial F on the other side. Hallmarked for London 1809.

They measure 3 3 /8" long, 2 3/4" wide and 1 5/8" high. They weigh 157g/5.0ozt in total. Condition is very good: there are 2 very small dints, to one side of each and some surface wear to the gilding, more to one than the other. External surface wear is very light.
