A fine Geo II Shropshire oak dresser and shelves.The base having three drawers with original handles,the carved cabriole legs with shaped feet,the frieze finely carved with hearts and scrolls.The shelves above having a fine pieced cornice with a spice cupboard either end and concave shelves between them.The whole dresser is crossbanded in walnut and comes from Minsterley in Shropshire,to which this model is unique.The dresser is a lovely honey colour ,there is some old nibbling to the left hand door and some of the bottom frieze has gone,otherwise the dresser is an outstanding model .English Circa 1750.
Our opening times are Monday (by appointment) Tuesday - Saturday 10.30 till 5 pm.
