A magnificent imposing very large 19thC Gilt frame wall mirror 7''6'' in height, of large country house origin. In wholly as found original and sound condition.
The upper pediment with naturalistic husk and foliage carving and well executed ribbon ties and ''c'' scrolls. Peering secretively from the foliage is a seeing all eye mask.
The bold wide frame with string beading and leaf moulding to the cavetto section terminating at mantle level with inverted scroll and acanthus leaf carved corbels slightly canted outwards. The mirror plate original and in excellent condition.
At 7 feet 6 inches in height, can be leant or mounted at or near floor level.
A very impressive eye catching statement, probably the largest example on the market.
