Stunning Antique English Sterling Silver Jewellery Box - 1910

Description

A fabulous and highly decorative jewellery box, made from English Sterling Silver and standing on three elegant feet.

The lid is beautifully decorated with a pretty raised border and the same border surrounding a central cartouche.

The lid fits well and once opened reveals a lavishly gilded interior. The base of the box is lucky to retain it's original emerald green velvet and silk lining, in lovely condition.

The silver is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1910, Edwardian in era. The makers initials are also present for the silversmith, E S Barnsley & Co Ltd. It is also lucky enough to have an English design registration number which also translates to the year 1910.

Excellent condition, measuring 3 3/4" in diameter x 1 3/4" tall.
