Description

Circa 1900-1910 this original spelter flying cherub ceiling light comes with two original fabric and beaded lampshades.

It is rare for shades of this age to survive in such good condition and although slightly worn, they are undamaged. The long rows of black beads have tiny green and pale pink beads to reflect the colours in the shades.

The cherub has a very pretty face and two little finely detailed wings and it measures 21cm in length. The whole light has been rewired to UK specifications and it will take standard bayonet lightbulbs.

The measurement from the ceiling fitting to the bottom of the beaded shade is 57cm and without the shade, the length is 40cm, and the original ceiling fitting can be seen in photo 6.
