Victorian Spelter Flying Cherub with Original Shade

19th century
Description

Circa 1900-1920 an original spelter flying cherub light in very good condition, with an original fabric and beaded shade.

The cherub measures 25cm across, and has a very pretty face and good details throughout especially face and wings. The shade is a little tired but undamaged, and the long rows of beads have tiny green and pale pink beads to reflect the colours in the fabric.

The length of the light from the top of the chain to the very bottom of the beaded shade is 49cm. We can supply a length of dark old chain if a longer length is required.

It has been rewired using dark flex cable and it takes a small bayonet lightbulb. The fitting would allow any standard UK lampshade to be used in place of the existing one if preferred, and we have some small old glass shades in stock on our website lancasterantiques.co.uk.

Postage and packing within the UK mainland only has been included in the price but for remote parts or abroad, please contact us for a delivery quote.
