Victorian Silver Aesthetic Movement Napkin Ring by William Wheatcroft Harrison, Birmingham 1888

Description

This delightful Aesthetic movement silver napkin ring was designed by William Wheatcroft Harrison, of W W Harrison & Co. It has a very distinctive and unusual parallelogram form. The front of the napkin ring typically engraved with a swallow and Japanese and naturalistic inspired motifs, such as a fan, sprigs of foliage within geometric patterns. Truly delightful!

Hallmarks:

W.W.H for William Wheatcroft Harrison

Lion Passant.

Duty mark.

London Assay mark.

Date letter "N" for 1888.

Condition:

Excellent.
