Glowingly red with distinct flashes of bright crimson, stones like this don’t come up very often.
Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating.
Cut – The centre ruby is cushion cut. The accent rubies are square and rectangular step cuts. The diamonds are rose cuts.
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS2 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye. The ruby is SI2.
Carat – The centre ruby is approximately 1.0o carat, with a further approximate 0.26 carat of rubies. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.38 carat.
Circa – 1920.
Measurements – The ruby is approximately 8.2 x 5.7mm. The brooch is 62.5 x 6.25mm.
Metal – Platinum. Tested.
