A charming 19th century continental porcelain patch box oval with brass mounts and hinged lid with a shell thumb tack to open, the body of the box is ribbed decorated with gilt festoons and the lid is hand painted with a young maiden sat in contemplation next to her dog. This splendid patch box is painted with flowers inside and is in excellent condition commensurate with age.
