A gents 9 carat gold Omega wrist watch, 1960.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 268, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number of 17,659,462 dates it back to 1960.

The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1960 together with the Omega triangular stamp and the case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison. The case is in good condition. There are no personal inscriptions. The winding crown is a later replacement.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has a little marking but nothing too detrimental. Dauphine shaped hands, subsidiary seconds and outer minute markers.

The watch comes on a generic rolled gold beads of rice style bracelet which currently fits an 18cm wrist although there is capacity on the clasp to make it around 1.5cm bigger. Alternatively, we can fit a new leather strap if preferred.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
