Set Four Windsor Chairs. Circa 1840

19th century
Description

Fine set of four early 19th. century fruitwood and elm windsor side chairs with hoop backs and pierced and shaped splats standing on bold front cabriole legs with crinoline stretchers and turned back legs. All in fine un-touched original condition with just a few chips off edges of cabriole feet. Lovely honey colour with fine waxed patina. All are firm and ready to use. These come from the Thames Valley area, probably Buckinghamshire.

Dealer in hand picked Georgian and earlier furniture, ceramics, metalware and silver. Also stocked 19th. Scottish paintings and oriental rugs. Business founded in 1854 in Portsmouth, now run by myself the fourth generation near Perth in Scotland. Shop closed now due to retirement
