Regency Bamboo Elbow Chair Circa 1815

19th century
Description

Rare Chinese export Regency all bamboo elbow chair with open worked back and side arms and having cane seat. Back and sides with wonderful worked bamboo panels with shaped inserts. All in superb un-touched original condition with no repairs. There is a little movement in the frame of the chair as would be expected in chair of this type. great colour with superb patina. See similar examples in the Royal Pavilion at Brighton.
