Pair French Kingwood Corner Cabinets. Circa 1780

18th century
Description

Superb pair French late 18th. century serpentine fronted encoignures or corner cabinets beautifully veneered in kingwood with quartered panel and cross-banded doors and standing on short shaped feet. Both enriched with fine ormulu mounts to doors and feet. Lovely original highly veined rouge marble tops. The interiors with two fixed shelves. Both in fine original condition with no splits or cracks, just a few minor edge veneer repairs. Wonderful honey colour with great waxed patina.

Size; 34" high, 21" back corner to side.
