A fabulous & large French ormolu casket c.1880 rectangular in form standing on four feet with a chased bordering and hinged lid with a thumb tack to open, the casket is finished with convex enamel panels hand painted with landscape scenes on the front, back, and sides whilst the panel on the lid depicts a young woman sat next to a bird reading. This superb casket has its original interior and despite some tears to the lining it is in excellent condition measuring 5 inches across.
