An Early George V Silver & Ebony 'Jewel' Box.

Description

An early George V silver mounted ebony 'Jewel' box. This charming piece is rectangular in shape with a hinged lockable lid and is complete with key. The top is mounted with hallmarked silver 'Jewels' script writing. To the inside is the original green silk and velour lined interior, with a large area to the front and trough to back for rings or earrings. A wonderful, decorative and usable piece.

Condition :- Very good with no splits or breaks to the silver. The box is in very good condition and closes well, the base has been re-felted at some point. The interior is original and therefore has signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
