Early Antique English Campaign Sterling Silver Hip Flask with Straw - 1855

Description

A most unusual English Victorian Hip Flask, an early example with a full hallmark for London 1855; the hallmark includes the highly sought-after Queen Victoria's head duty mark. The makers initials are also present for Thomas Diller.

The lid has a cap which can be turned to reveal an open little hole which is attached to an integral straw which sits within the flask, once used it can be turned to cover the hole. This screw top can be removed for refuelling.

Excellent condition, the flask measures 4 1/2" tall x 2 3/4" x 3/4" thick.
