A Magnificent 36 Graduated Drawer Victorian Mahogany Collectors Cabinet Circa 1880

Description

A magnificent and highly versatile victorian honduras mahogany, 36 drawer collectors cabinet with graduated drawers and a break front. Circa 1880.

This fine cabinet has 36 drawers with open tops and was originally used to house a collection of minerals and fossils. In each section there are twelve drawers, the top ten having a usable depth of 2.5 inches and the lower two having a usable depth of 5 inches. This applies to both outer sections. The middle section again matches this specification but the drawers are 22 inches by 19 rather than 20 inches by 20.

The drawers all carry the original turned and polished ebony knobs and all locks work and have keys. The condition is very good and the cabinet is ready to be pressed into service. The choice of collectables to be housed in this cabinet is virtually unlimited.

Front to back each side 23.25 inches.

Centre section. 25.25 inches.

Width. 65 inches.
