~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A large and beautiful antique French clock of exquisite Meissen style porcelain in the Louis XV style. Porcelain is profusely applied with delicate flowers. It features two putti with musical instruments, one with double flute and the other playing the cymbals. Above the dial is an urn decorated with flowers and a laurel swag. Applied to the front is a motif of musical instruments.

The porcelain is marked with an imitation Meissen mark and is by one of several imitating Meissen at the time. The dial is porcelain enamel with it's original finely fretted gilt hands and convex bezel.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell.

Condition of the case is excellent, porcelain has a few small original firing faults as is expected. There is minimal loss to some of the flowers otherwise no damage. There is some slight rubbing to the over-glaze gilt decoration. The dial has no damage.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
