ANTIQUE #SA461152

Heavy Antique Scottish George III Silver Salver/waiter

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

This is a beauty!

A solid sterling salver dating from the era of King George 111.

Carrying very clear hallmarks on the base for Edinburgh 1765, with the maker''s mark for Patrick Robertson. The salver features a shaped ogee border. The centre of the salver is engraved with a crest surrounded by scrolls and flowers. It is raised on three firmly attached scroll feet. The silver is in an amazing condition given the age of the item - over 250 years old. It is not gilded - any suggestion of gilding in the pictures is just a reflection of the camera flash.
