The box opens to a coromandel wood lined interior which retains the original gold tooled blue velvet writing surface. Both flaps lift to reveal storage areas and the top houses the original glass and silver plated ink bottles, pen tray, 2 lidded compartments and silvered partitions for stationary. The box has good quality brass fittings throughout including the V.R. stamped lock with keys. Size :- Height... 5.5''/ 14cm. Width...15''/ 38cm. Depth....9.75''/ 25cm. Open Depth...19.75''/ 50cm.
