From a private American collection.
A fabulous French silver circular box with cover, decorated on the top with an enamel landscape scene depicting fruiting trees on the banks of a meandering river finished with a black, white and leaf enamel border. The enamel work is signed W.D and the box is stamped with hallmarks inside and on the underside of the cover with an engine turned base, it is in excellent condition and measures 2 ¾ inches in diameter weighing 104g or 3 ½ Oz.
