Gents Good-sized 1950s Solix Wrist Watch by Selza

Description

A gents good-sized 1950s Solix wrist watch by Selza SA.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Selza logo.

The watch itself is a very good size at 36.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the nicely shaped lugs. The case is rose gold plated and there is some wear in places.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish which has darkened with age and it has a most attractive appearance, sometimes known as a tropical dial. There is some light freckling across the dial.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
