Victorian Mahogany Bijouterie Table

Description

A 19th Century mahogany bijouterie/display table standing on elegant tapering legs which are decorated with carved knees and terminate with pad feet. The top which has an attractive scalloped edge and working lock with key, lifts to reveal the original blue velvet lining. The table stands very securely and is in good condition. There are minor scratches to the glass and the velvet lining shows some signs of wear, but these are compatible with a piece dating from the 19th Century.
