Carved Oak Library Bookcase C.1880.

Description

Fabulous late 19th.c. carved oak library bookcase c.1880. Of imposing design, 8' tall with with a massive stepped architectural cornice with carved detail over a three door glazed bookcase top fitted with three full length shelves of adjustable height. Over three drawers (with a repeat of the cornice detail to the fronts) and three cupboard doors with crisply carved panels featuring Renaissance style urn and fruit motifs. Unusual leaf detail to the uprights, and raised on turned bun feet. Superb quality with oak panelled sides and back boards. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied. Breaks apart into flat pieces for ease of delivery.
