Large Georgian Oak Gate Leg Drop Leaf Table Seats 8 -10 People C1780

Description

This is a lovely george 111 oak gate leg table and dating from around 1780. Constructed from solid oak and all original it has a circular plank top with deep frieze to each end and extends by means of a double gate leg action. It stands on circular tapered legs on a pad foot it is hand & peg joined and would seat eight to ten people comfortably.

There is a couple of very old 'candlestick' ring marks to the top hopwever over time these have polished into the patination and just adds charm & character to this lovely table.

It measures 28" high X 22" (closed) X 57" (open) X 57" wide.
