~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A stunning original antique crystal regulator by Japy Freres. Beautifully shaped in the Art Nouveau style in gilt bronze. Glazed with curved and beveled glass to five sides to enable the movement and pendulum to be seen.

The pretty porcelain enamel dial is delicately painted with floral swags and is complete with original blued steel hands. The pendulum is also gilt bronze with silvered steel rod and decoratively fretted panel.

The French movement is by Japy Freres and is of high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a gong. Click the video clip below to hear the gong and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some wear and discolouration. The dial is also in excellent with no damage. The glass is also excellent with no major damage just an occasional light scratch.
