This super ANTIQUE BLUE & WHITE TRANSFER PRINTED POTTERY BOWL bears the cartouche mark for GEORGE GORDON POTTERY, PRESTONPANS near EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND and the PATTERN NAME 'FLORENTINE'. It dates from circa 1830.

It is a stunning overall pattern particularly with the mythical creature entwined around the oriental vase.

The BOWL is of good size with a clear, well-applied transfer.

There is no restoration. The underside of the footrim shows an old undeveloped line.
