Fine Mahogany Games Table Circa 1900

1900 - 1920
Description

This is certainly a lovely example of an envelope games table. The detail is just superb from the elegant flowing cabriole leg which terminates in the French style ball to the Chippendale revival blind fret on the drawer and all round the frame under the opening top. The lovely shaped stretchers boast a splendid turned centre and are all fully fretted as can be seen in the pictures.

when open there are the original counter trays and the original handles are a very well detailed. The French polished timbers have good colour and the beize is replaced and is in excellent order, right down to the polished interior of the drawer. All in all a great looking well detailed piece of English cabinet made furniture that is a useful addition to any home.

Closed the top is 54cms square. Other measurements below.
