Shaped French Mahogany Bijouterie Table

Description

A fine quality late 19th century French mahogany bijouterie table. Of very unusual shape and decorated throughout with finely detailed crisp brass mounts. This rare table is of excellent construction and is very appealing to the eye. The shaped top is banded with brass to the edges , it lifts to access a lined display interior. The concave shaped sides of the table, in combination with the convex front edge, is a very rare feature. It stands on elegant turned and fluted legs, which are united by a low-level under-stretcher, and terminate in brass tips. This highly desirable table is offered for sale in excellent original condition with a very good colour and patina.
