Victorian Solid Silver Double Stamp Box 1900

Description

A beautiful example of a Victorian sterling SILVER DOUBLE POSTAGE STAMP BOX with the original Victorian stamps under glass on the lid.

The interior has two gilded compartments to store and easily retrieve stamps, the interior of the lid is covered (not original) and the beautifully shaped box stands on four silver ball feet.

Made in 1900 by well renowned silversmiths of Saunders & Shepherd this lovely example is free from any added inscriptions, monograms or engravings and is in excellent condition.
