by Fritz Marti.
~ French - Circa 1900 ~
~~ Excellent condition ~~
The set is very well modelled in gilt brass which has a lovely clean and bright finish. Dial is particularly pretty, enamel on copper decorated with delicate floral swags. Candelabra are over 2 ft tall and are complete with Rococo finials. The four arms are modelled as entwining foliage, standing above urns with 'c' scroll handles. The set is of very good quality with crisp, sharp and finely detailed modelling and the gilding has a lovely clean and bright finish.

The movement is of excellent quality and is by the famous maker Fritz Marti, who was awarded the gold medal at the Paris exhibition of 1900. It runs for 8 days and strikes half-hourly on a bell. The rear door of the clock is glazed to allow the movement to be seen. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. We have replaced the missing pendulum. Click the movie below to see and hear the movement working!

Condition of the case is excellent with a bright and clean finish, some minor wear on the high spots. Dial is also in excellent condition with just some minor chipping around the outside edge which are not seen with the bezel closed. The candelabra arms are very slightly distorted. The set looks great as you can see in the pictures below!

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
