A beautiful and unusual cased glass vase by Thomas Webb & sons c.1870 of bottle form with a graduated teal colour fading to chocolate brown at the rim. This eye-catching vase is superbly gilded with decoration, possible the hand of Jules Barbe, depicting a butterfly amongst flowers and foliage, the vase has a gilt border around the rim and foot, and is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration.
