Antique Silver Open Faced Pocket Watch and Chain

An antique silver open faced pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover (it has a small ding).

The watch itself measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Swiss silver marks inside both of the back covers. The overall condition of the case is good, just a small patch of gentle unevenness to the back. The engine turned detail is still nice and crisp.

The watch glass has a small chip, about 2mm, on the bevelled edge.

The white enamel dial has three faint hairlines running from the centre towards number 8. Pin set hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a single silver chain which measures 27cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. There are no hallmarks on the piece but it has been tested in various places and is confirmed as being silver.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
