The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The movement is fully signed and the serial number dates it back to 1901. There is an inner hinged dust cover which interestingly has a sunburst effect pattern to the inside.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was originally guaranteed to wear for 20 years. There is minor surface marking to the outside of the case, and a small “ding”, but nothing serious at all.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition. It is very common for the original glass lenses to be replaced and we see this often… it is difficult to tell the difference as they look so similar but they are a lot more durable.
The white enamel dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
