Inlaid Mahogany Display Cabinet

1900 - 1920
Description

A stunning inlaid mahogany display cabinet from the Edwardian period. Of fine construction in solid mahogany, decorated with satinwood banding, stringing and floral marquetry inlay. Configured with one central , bow-fronted, cupboard door flanked by a pair of glazed cabinet doors. Each door opening to access a shelved interior and all fitted with working locks (keys supplied). The top of the cabinet is surmounted by an upstanding gallery decorated with floral marquetry inlay. This in turn is surmounted by a pair of neo-classically styled carved urns. The whole cabinet stands on elegant tapering legs which terminate in spade feet, united by an under-tier with an open fretwork gallery. This attractive cabinet is offered for sale in excellent original condition, with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.
