A Rare Georgian Silver Tea Strainer.

Description

A wonderful and rare Georgian silver tea strainer. This lovely example is designed to fit to the teapot. The clasp is inserted into the spout of the pot and the joining wire work allows the bowl to swing with gravity as the tea is poured capturing the loose leaves. The bowl is round in shape, beautifully pierced and features a flower to the centre. All hallmarked including the clasp with the added rarity of being a Female silversmith. An excellent collector's item and still usable today.
