~ French - Circa 1870 ~
~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled and working ~~
A beautifully made gothic brass cartel wall by the famous maker Samuel Marti.
This is an earlier clock, heavily modelled and well finished. The movement has the earlier 'Medaille de Bronze' mark awarded in 1860.

The dial is enamel on copper with a cast brass centre and is complete with original blued steel hands. The bezel has an egg and dart border and is fitted with convex bevelled glass.
The French movement is of the highest quality as you would expect from this maker. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been comprehensively overhauled, including two new springs, by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. The dial has some chipping around the winding holes and the lettering has faded.
Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
