Pair Of Japanese Meiji Period Imperial Satsuma Vases

A fine true pair of Japanese Meiji period imperial satsuma porcelain vases of baluster form with a crimped rim and lion dog handles. Each vase is beautifully decorated with a spray of chrysanthemums and other flowers with intricate gilt highlights and outlines on one side, and peonies and other flowers blooming from a rocky outcrop on the reverse. Both vases are decorated in superb detail with delicate bordering around the rim & base. Both are signed on the underside and both are in excellent condition with no damage or restoration.
