Edwardian Era Park Bench C.1910.

1900 - 1920
Description

Edwardian era park bench c.1910. Very heavy cast iron ends joined with seven painted wooden seat slats and a turned top rail. Of simple uncluttered design with graceful curving sides and a raked backrest. With a metal rod stretcher for extra strength and, though it is extremely unlikely to blow over in even the strongest winds, fixing points to attach it to the ground. Original, unrestored condition, very solid and sturdy and ready for purpose.
