A Good Oak George III Period "Norfolk" Chest of Drawers

Description

A good oak George III Period "Norfolk" chest of drawers. Having a solid oak two plank rectangular top above an unusual shaped frieze and with three short and three long graduating oak lined drawers, each having brass swan neck handles and shaped back plates. With triple reeded canted corners, the whole supported on original shaped bracket feet. England circa 1780-1800

Dimensions: 35" wide x 20" deep x 42" high

Condition: This chest of drawers is in excellent condition, a good colour and patina. Later replacement handles. This drawer configuration together with the wavy moulding is synonymous with chests of drawers used in Norfolk of this period.
