Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The conforming left and right hand opening doors again with fine engraved boulle detail. The cabinets having internal plate glass adjustable shelves and mirrored backs. The rounded corners having brass inlaid strips and applied ormolu mounts, the whole supported on ormolu mounted and brass inlaid bases with turned feet. Probably made by the English cabinet maker Town and Emanuel who specialised in fine quality boulle furniture. English in the French style of Andre Charles Boulle circa 1860
