A good landscape watercolour by Richard Pheney (R.B.A) entitled “The Deserted Village” dated 1857 depicting a derelict barn & church crumbling away amongst overgrown shrubbery, centred by a leafless tree. This well drawn watercolour is in its original gilt frame and signed, titled, and dated in the bottom left with the inscription ‘Langham Chambers’; The frame measures 55cm x 45cm and the picture 34cm x 23cm, some minor damage to the frame otherwise condition is excellent.
